The River Africa

Oh my dear Africa.
You are streams of waters.
Cycling in the desert.
With no place to call your home.

Mercy found you through tributaries.
You were gathered in the River Nile.
Your color became your consciousness.
Your language became your culture.
And your culture became your character.

Oh my dear Africa
Your character has situated you in the Sahara.
To eat the carcasses of your undoing.
In line with what lies ahead of you.

Though tributaries may form streams.
Streams may form River.
But Rivers may not form ocean.

Oh my dear Africa.
Think freedom
Think security
Think prosperity for all.
That your River may not run dry.
